Yeah, i heard thier coach was a "candidate" for the LSU job in case Miles is a "candidate" for any other openings.
A shame Appy's QB got injured. The backup looked pretty good!! I will be rootin' for them also:lsup: Oh Gee:shock: The dreaded Reggie Bush show is about to start.:dis: I was not asked by the downtowners, but ---Bush had mort team talent around him. I am not saying Young had to carry Texas alone, but USC would have still been good without Bush. Texas would have got hooked without Young.
I know you are joking, but I would like to make a comment. I think Jerry Moore is at the right spot for his abilities. He is a fine man and he excels at ASU. At TTU, he was not ready, and he may or not ever be ready for the big show. He is, however, in a position where he can make a difference and has been mature enough to embrace the situation. Some may say he settled for less than he could have had, but he has accomplished more than most. For someone who was out of football, what he has accomplished is remarkable. It is easy to speculate as to what direction LSU football is heading, it is easy to offer conjecture as to whether Miles is the correct man to be at the helm. What I do not see on the horizon is someone who has so clearly exceeded his station that anyone can guarantee he will be an unequivocal success. What is even more obscure is the identity of that person with impeccable qualifications whose burning quest is ensure the eminence of LSU football. Miles may be the coach that Moore was at TTU, or he may become the Moore that has an enviable record at ASU. The point of all of this is that Jerry Moore had the opportunity to show he wasn't qualified for the TTU job, and he had the opportunity to prove he was the man at ASU. At LSU he has had neither. My take on this past season is that LSU was not nearly as dynamic as I expected before the season, and that this team was held together better than anyone had a right to expect. While other teams were laying the foundation that led to improved play at year end, LSU was dealing with hurricanes. The man was hired to do a job, give him at least one normal season before making judgments. It isn't like Vince Lombardi or Paul Brown is alive and offering to be the next coach. Anyone out there is just as big of a gamble as Miles is.
Agree. Also remember; #1 running back out Soph quarterback Receivers not quality we are use to seeing (ie Reed, Clayton, Henderson) And with that, hurricanes, schedule changes, new coaching staff and they held together!! Agree again. And with Miles we know we have an excelent recruiter, can win close games, and yes, does not have that charisma with the media, but I rather the W's then a TV charmer. But really, some of his interviews need help!
