Well, somehow we're ranked higher than Northern Iowa, and they beat us. Just goes to show that no one voting in the polls really knows what they're doing.
Maybe because head-to-head isn't the sole measure of which is the better team? Upsets can happen (not saying LSU over Tennessee should be considered an upset), so beating a team can be outweight by the performance the rest of the season. LSU is sitting with a couple more losses than Tennessee, that's probably what's holding us back.
Not to worry, Northern Iowa beat the Hawkeyes, too. Unfortunately, UNI's star guard broke a bone in his foot last week and is gone for the season. UNI will be lucky to make the dance now.
