I don't believe early season polls mean much but for those of you counting... LSU will play #4 Florida, #9 Virginia Tech, #17 Auburn, and #18 Arkansas. USC will play #10 Cal, #13 UCLA, and #16 Nebraska. If you consider other votes...LSU plays #30 Alabama and #33 South Carolina while USC faces #29 Oregon, #31 Oregon State, #37 Arizona State, and #41 Washington. (FYI...Washington only received 1 vote...a sole #25 ranking...maybe their own?) Although I don't consider USC's schedule a cakewalk, I still believe LSU's schedule is more difficult. In order to play for a title, LSU would also have to win the SEC Championship which would require defeating another Top 10 ranked opponent. I'm still confused how some in the media claim that USC has the most difficult schedule in the nation.
Is there a link or way to find the individual AP members' votes? I'd like to know where LSU's #1 votes are coming from.
Here's a link but be careful, it's not updated yet. When you click on any given AP writer's vote, check the week. Some are still showing Week 16 from last year......others, still week one. Still gives you some idea and it should be updated. :thumb: http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu8UMz...ball_rankings/voters.php?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME Oh, it does show dildeaux voting LSU #6 last week.
