Are you kidding me? We'll, I won't be pulling for either of them ever again. Politics needs to stay out of football/sports. (And that means Keith Schmolbermann too)
Was downtown today and they had people on the streets before the game selling Obama t-shirts in traffic and people were buying them from their vehicles.
Isn't Grambling and Southern public schools receiving our tax dollars? Hold on guys, i'm contacting the ACLU, they're going to be all over this. :thumb:
Several members of Southern's band were arrested for beating other members with a 2" x 4" as part of a hazing ritual. Hey Red...you wanted another example. Ask and you shall receive.
Don't invoke me in this racist thread. I don't give a rat's ass about the Southern Band one way or another. :nope:
I agree politics should stay out of sports. However, its racist because a band spelled out Obamas name? Explain that one to me.
I guess it depends on what song they were playing? :hihi: I'm not sure if you can say it's racist, but they could have gone another route and just spelled USA or something. Like you said, it's more that they made it about politics than anything else. From what I saw it was almost like the entire game was a political celebration of sorts.
