Got the opportunity to see him in person last Saturday--went to the BC/Pitt game.

A friend of mine is the trainer at BC and he got me seats 7 rows behind the Pitt bench.

Fitzgerald is in the mold of Randy Moss--tall, lean, stronger than he looks and runs faster than it appears. I was impressed.

He was very business-like on the field. Scored a TD and handed the ball back to the official, gave a few "high-fives", but for the most part, it appeared that he just wanted to get back to the sideline.

Pitt could very well do us a favor and beat BOTH Va Tech AND Miami. They have the offense to do it. Rutherford is a BIG QB with lots of talent.

The key to beating Pitt (and this plays right into Va Tech's hands) is that Pitt had a very difficult time stopping the run against BC. BC coached themselves out of a win as they let a 13-10 half-time lead slip away by NOT continuing to run the ball in the second half. They let Pitt's offense get back on the field after 3-straight "three-and-outs" to start the 2nd half. It was only a matter of time before Fitzgerald and Rutherford took control.

Va Tech won't make that same mistake--unlike BC, they'll run and run and run some more and keep Fitzgerald off the field as long as they can.

With Tech's DB, Hall, suspended for the first half of the game, Pitt better jump out early and force VT to play from behind and abandon the run.
