Is the Wahoo thing a UVA reference? I am a Virginia Law grad.

Nope. A wahoo is an offshore game fish.

Since I was little I wanted to win a trophy in a fishing rodeo. My first trophy was a 1st place in the wahoo category. Looks like a giant speckled trout, but instead of spots it has blue tiger stripes. Very tasty fish I might add.

Any recommendations on preperation of a Wahoo ?

The Wahoo can also ostensibly drink twice its own weight in water. This peculiar talent endeared the fish to UVA undergrads many moons ago, and the name stuck. Now, UVA has one official mascot (Cavalier), and one unofficial mascot (Wahoo). However, I have never spoken with anyone who has actually sampled one.

I think most do...but only socially.

I do know some people who drink like a fish however.
