its best that he didn't come to lsu. do we really want someone who is not confident in his own ability to run our offense?
I don't blame him for going to Ole Priss. He might have never played here. In Oxford he'll start as a redshirt frehsman. In fact, I can think of ten reasons Lane made the right decision: 10. Won't have to deal with the pressure of high expectations. 9. Won't be giving anything up if he decides to play pro baseball. 8. Gets to wear stylish clothing. 7. Much better chance of getting a road trip home to Monroe. 6. The transition from a high school stadium to the Vaught won't be as intimidating. 5. Awesome catered food in the Grove. 4. He'll be able to spend the holidays with his family. 3. Has plenty of excuses if he falls on his face, such as the defense, special teams, coaching, running game, receiving corps, and offensive line. 2. He can learn more by playing for multiple head coaches in his college career. And the #1 reason Robert Lane made a smart decision by choosing Ole Miss over LSU: 1. His main competition for the women will be Eli Manning.
Tucking tail and running to Ole Miss just showed that he has no loyalty and was afraid of competition. I would feel differently had he been a life-long Tiger fan, hoped to play for LSU, but didn't get an offer...THEN accepting Ole Miss.
