Was wondering how the replays of the LSU football games come out? Is it the entire broadcast of the game or a condensed version? Is the quality good?
I have a subscription, and I would say it's worth about what they charge which I think is like $6 per month. My main complaint is that the streaming video is too choppy. I believe you can watch the entire game, but the video is not really streaming, so it's almost like watching a quickly changing series of still pictures. You'd be much better off taping the game yourself if you want to watch it. IMO, the main benefits of the service are the access to press conferences and other events not on TV. Also, I live out of state, so it's how I watch the weekly coaches show. When they improve the streaming video quality, the service will be of greater value, especially if you have a high speed connection.
So do you have Cable or DSL? I just think DSL sucks compared to Cable and that may be the difference.
I have a cable modem also. I've noticed that most servers that are set up to pump out streaming video are usually not quite powerful or fast enough to provide high quality streaming video. I assume this is due to cost concerns. The LSU broadcasts are not the best I've seen, but they aren't the worst either. However, the video won't be TV quality and you will probably be frustrated by this. I am pretty sure that the telecast is the LSU telecast for the replays.
