Personally, I don't care what is done to the terrorists in Gitmo. I'm sick of seeing Congressmen who ran for their lives on 9/11 act like it never happened. It was four years ago, and people have short memories. And to compare it to Nazi tactics is an insult to anyone who died in the Holocaust.
Sounds like a gloryhound to me. I may have missed it, but I haven't seen a legit alternative program proposed by any of those decrying the situation. I would be fine with them closing Gitmo if they would lift the ban on travel to Cuba and maybe put a W or at least a Hilton in its place. That would be great.
I agree with the second part of that. As Jon Stewart did a great job of explaning last night, the Hitler/Holocaust comparision is way overdone. Nothing compares to that. To even bring it up is deplorable. Another example is earlier this year when Rick Santorum on the floor of the Senate compared the Democrats to Hitler over the filibuster issue. Not because I harbor a great love for Islamics. They are only one step removed from U.S. citizens on the chain of human beings.
