Anybody catch this on the Leinhart sneak for the winning TD?

Reggie Bush literally pushes Leinhart into the endzone, otherwise he gets stopped at the 1.

And there is a rule that states that another offensive player cannot aid the runner in advancing for more yardage by pushing them forward. You see it called moreso when an offensive lineup may grab the ball carrier trying to pull him for an extra yard or 2, but this was fairly obvious as well.

You're grasping at straws. USC won the game and no one with any authority would question it because to question USC would be career suicide.

Bob Davie was calling it out which i thought was funny him being an obvious ND homer.

but the call is hardly ever made. dont expect them to call it in that situation unless they are SEC refs.

what i dont get is the clock was stopped but i see 2 articles on ESPN.com talking about leinharts fake spike being so smart.

The ball was fumbled out of bounds, so the clock is suppose to stop. What I'm confused about is why the refs were going to start the clock again instead of starting it on the snap. I thought fumbling the ball out of bounds is the same as a player stepping out of bounds ... the clock don't start until it is snapped.

I saw that, but did you see the 2 blocks in the back on ND punt return for a TD.

One guy runs 5 yards with his hands up (you know the old I did something bad but did not do it on purpose) and the picks off a USC player allowing the punt returner to get ot the edge. Oh yeah did I mention that there was a ref about 2 yards away looking right at the play.

USC won the game by getting the 61 yard pass play on 4th and 9. No excuse for that. ND fans should focus on that breakdown as well as the confusion on the goalline at the end.

I think that Reggie pushing on Leinart from the back is something that they practice often. Look closely and you can see the last pelvic thrust that put him over the goalline........very powerful. :hihi:
