Just wondering if any are lurking around. Paul seems to be gaining ground and winning over most conservative republicans right now.

I like the guy and could see myself voting for him. His views are slightly extreme in that he would like to get rid of a lot of the bureaucracy that exists, which would affect a lot of people, but I think for the most part his views are scholastic and idealistic and probably wouldn't be bad. A lot of folks on welfare might riot if he actually won. I also think he'd have to fight congress a lot to get the changes he wants to become a reality.

But the guy is smart and brave and straightforward and idealistic and I think that those are great qualities for a leader to have. I think he'd be a great president and the best we've had in a long time. Much better than what we've got now.

I agree and those are changes that wouldn't happen quickly. Fist you have to educate why they are bad and then start to wipe away.

He's def. not a friend of the freeloaders.

I like him and will vote for him, if he's on the ballot. That said i dont think he has a chance in hell of getting on the ballot in enough states (including LA) of even coming close to wining. But I will vote for him in the primary.

I will be voting for him if he runs. I voted for Browne in 00 and Bednarik in 04. I have no problem voting for a Libetarian even if he is running around in Republican clothing.

I disagree with "idealistic" being a great quality for a leader.

I like a lot of things about him, but his views are a little more extreme than mine, which is saying a lot. If he isn't willing to compromise, he will accomplish nothing in office & it will be a waste of a term.

He is running on a "traditional" Republican platform. He's not extreme he is inline with what a Republican use to stand for not this newage crap that people think Republicans are today. He is a true conservative.
