thats not the reason. the tax revenue isnt significant.

people only do it as a way to waste time. its not a feasible thing when you can just buy it perfectly legally anywhere. imagine if it were illegal to make your own laundry detergent. would you bother? just go buy it at the store.

you are right it should be legal, but its no big deal. i know i dont want to drink it, except for maybe a taste to see how terrible it is and to remind myself how much i definitely dont want any.

Then why is it illegal? It's totally because the man doesn't get his cut. There is no other logical reason, and don't give me the safety aspect that's a load of crap, that's like saying the real reason you get ticketed for not wearing a seatbelt is because they want you to be safe, bull it's another way to make money off of you.

I'm not so sure. I mean how big is the "market" for this stuff outside of a bunch of hillbillies stomping around the mid eastern woods barefoot in some overalls? It isn't near what it was during prohibition so I can't see it as being a tax revenue thing? Seems like they spend much more chasing a few of these hillbillies than they could hope to gain from taxing it?

we told you. Its safety. The tax revenue is not relevant. Same with seat belts.

No way, you'll never be able to convince me that it's about safety, that's a laugher.

    it not about money.

and they dont even really waste much time chasing moonshiners. they have a damn tv show on discovery where they pretend like they do, like they are badass outlaws like on dukes of hazzard, but cmon. they are on tv.

nobody even wants moonshine. alcohol that stong tastes like murder, and even if you want it, you can buy it at the store!

its just a stupid law that could be reversed if anyone cared, which nobody does, except, like shane says, some idiots in the ozarks with overalls and long beards.

also the seat belt law is not about money. it is about safety. the law is wrong because it violates our rights to be unsafe. but nevertheless it intends to save lives, not make money.

again, thats not why the law exists.

i am aware that the government should not be making laws that force us to protect ourselves from ourselves. but again, the law exists because the government wants us to be safe.

if you dont wear your seatbelt you are a lunatic. that doesnt mean their should be a law about it. but the people who favor the law are doing it because they want safety.

not everything is about ulterior motives. i am crazy for personal liberties and i almost want to favor motorcycle helmet laws. i dont favor them, but i understand why others do. it isnt about money.

You should try one from someone that actually knows what they are doing.
