Ok, I know it was against NW St., but 95 total yards, -4 yards rushing after what we did to a juggernaut offense last week proves we are the real deal. Another BIG test against Ms. State next week. They've been putting up huge numbers, but they run an Oregon like offense, so we've kind of seen it already. Should be a good game.
LSU should certainly be leading the nation in rush defense after this week. We'll see what ole Ballard can do Thursday night. My guess is limited success.
Granted it was against Auburn's defense, but Ballard/Relf looked very strong running the ball this weekend. LSU's LBs and and DEs are really quick and should be able to neutralize them, but expect a lot of misdirection and read option. Gap awareness will be the key.
