From the Miami Herald: Championship game.... The ACC officials may have hurt the Gators, but not nearly as much as the SEC officials who decided the best way to settle a three-way tie in the SEC East is to let games outside the SEC determine the champion. Florida, Georgia and Tennessee all finished 6-2 in the SEC East. Had the SEC used its schedule to break the tie, Florida would be playing SEC West champ LSU for the title. Florida played the most difficult schedule in the SEC East and also faced the top two teams in the West -- LSU and Ole Miss. Georgia played only LSU -- and lost -- and Tennessee played neither. But instead of being rewarded for playing the toughest SEC schedule, the Gators were punished for it, because SEC athletic directors voted to use the BCS rankings to break the tie. The result: Georgia won the tiebreaker -- and Florida must watch a Georgia-LSU title game next week despite beating both.
Sorry, I agree 100% with the article. I think Florida should be playing us in Atlanta. They played the tougher schedule and beat us and Georgia. Georgia lost to us and Florida, makes no sense........
Yep...I'm with you. But UGA is the favorite of the SEC right now. I think Trev and Kirk must have some pull in the SEC office...
All that matters is we have to find a way to WIN Saturday and Georgia can still be thier "favorite" for all I care. They can have thier favorite's if they want, its up to the players to decide who's the better team.
Yo, Fred! You're all wet. Tennessee beat Florida 24-10 ... it's a matter of public record Get the net!
He meant they beat both LSU and Jawja...Which is also a matter of public record, and what he's talking about...which is also what you're confused about... Get a tutor who specializes in reading comprehension, brainiac!
