First the generals blasted the Presidents military policies, then the rats starting jumping ship (Powell, Tenet, Rumsfeld, Rove, Libby, McClelland, etc), then they started getting indicted and convicted (Libby), and now, with the Bush administration not even out of office, the first of the Bush insiders has broken ranks and told what was happening at the White House during the Iraq War and CIA leak scandal. Eventually it's all going to come out. I expect Congressional investigations in 2009.
You know Red, I was going to post this so I am glad you did. McClellan says Bush authorized the leak of Plames identity. That is pretty much treason. That is a big part of this story. Also, dont you just love how CNN, MSNBC, NBC, and CBS has pretty much owned up to the fact that the network execs killed damaging stories about the White House like this over the last 7 years.
I'm glad a Bushie broke ranks and pimped W out, but really, was anything in the book a surprise?? It was obvious even to the most casual observer..........
there was nothing there we didnt already know, right? the only value of the story is that a bushie stabbed the WH in the back.
I know I know, but its better because an insider has come out with it. You know how we love dirty laundry. So here is what I think happen. They promised this guy the world when he had to resign. A few years pass by and nothing. THe guy gets pissed and said screw this I'll make my money the American way and write a tell all book. :hihi:
if the allegations are true (and most, if not all signs point to true) then it is a dark day for our country.
i think i read somewhere that the bushies were pretty shocked at the tell-all. i think they expected closed mouthed loyalty and the fond look at the days in the wh sort of book. i think i need to get on the waiting list at the library for this one.
oreilly (yes, i occasionally want to know what they are thinking) last night tried to discredit mcclellan because mcclellan's father claimed LBJ had JFK killed and ari fleishcer said on cnn last night that mcclellan didnt write it but that his editor did.----i couldnt beleive he said that---talk about denial.
The GOP is in such a mess. I hope there is someone that can turn it around. I really like Kasich (sp) I think he is on TV somewhere now. I'm going to devote my finacial plans to winning the lotto and moving next door to kenny chesney in the tropics.
There has never been a better time for a new party to emerge . . . somewhere between the two existing ones.
