You may also want to go over there and check out the "ideas" for corndog signs for Gameday. Some of their fans are pleading with them to lose the corndog references, for fear of looking stupid to the rest of the nation.

The most irksome thing about the thread is the part about them wanting to have Gameday signs reading, "USC--the true National Champs."

I even pulled for those losers in their bowl game, so the conference looks better, but they want to tout USC as the national champs?

for a nickname to work, people have to have actually heard of it or have it be catchy enough to spread.

nobody even knows what the corndog thing is or who it is about or anything about it. i barely know, and i just found out even though i am more informed than 98% of the fans out there. auburn can hold all the corndog signs they want, but nobody will have any clue what they are doing and will just correctly assume they are morons.
