Did anybody else think that if amp was patient he would have been able to shine on Sat. night. With Bowe out, and Craig Davis not being able to play. Along with all the drops by Doucet and the one by Carter he could have had his shot had he only been patient. The same thing will happen with Perriloux this year he will get his chance. Go ahead and pencil him in for the Miss. State game.
You just never know what's going to happen with injuries or someone just not getting the job done. We will never know but IMO he would have been better off staying. It is very possible he would have seen playing time in game one and if you prove yourself in the game you usually see the field again.
Why even concerned yourself with a guy who's NOT in BR? He didn't want to compete for a job or be an LSU Tiger, so better he went somewhere else. I don't see anyone crying about Lester Ricard starting at Tulane or Ricky Clausen starting at Tennessee. Move on, they did!
Nooooooo!!!!!! Don't waste the red shirt. I don't want Perrilloux to play this season. Red shirt him so in the event that JR stays thru his Senior year RP will still have 2 seasons as a starter. Hopefully he will be patient and be content to red shirt and hopefully Les will not let him play and wast a redshirt year. The worst case scenario for RP would be that he waits 3years to play 2 and at that time he will shine bright. However, the best case would be JR plays 2 and goes to the draft and he gets 3 years to shine. Why would you want to waste a red shirt when playing MSU or App St. etc? You want RP as long as you can have him after JR leaves. Playing him and wasting a red shirt would cut that time we have him starting by a year. Unless he takes the job from JR. I hope Les doesn't get lured into a 2 QB system next year.
Ryan needs to get some experience might as well do it this year. If you red shirt him he will be gone. I dont want to go thru the pains OU is going through with Bomar. Get your future star some PT cause you never know when he will be needed or even when Russell will leave
I'll be one of the first to day it.. If RP is not willing to do what is in the best interests of the team, then I do not want him here. Of course, you are only stating that it is your opinion he wil be gone. If that is the case though, let him go, and quickly! Of course my opinion is he will do what is best for the team, and if asked to redshirt he will and prep himself for future success here at LSU.
