People are so tired of the liberal bias...and kudos to Rupert Murdoch for capitalizing on this. Fox News pulled off the unthinkable...they beat CNN, MSNBC, CNBC and Headline News...combined. Fox News has more viewers than all other cable news networks put together...that is stunning. :thumb: http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tm...y/20040928/va_tv_ne/fox_news_beats_all_rivals
Holy crap! Now that's unbelievable. Their coverage of 9/11 and Iraq has been very good to them. These viewers aren't, couldn't be, all republicans either. Maybe those other networks will learn a lesson and try and get some people without so much bias.
No it's both sides of the aisle that's watching Fox News because Fox does indeed do a great job at being fair and balanced. Liberal CNN is getting killed and they won't ever become fair and balanced, and people are finally realizing that.
i actually think it is pretty clear that fox is biased and wants bush to win, but i dont see anything wrong with that. the other networks are clearly liberal. fox is right of center, cbs is left, it all balances out. i have no complaints. i do not agree that fox is neutral or "fair and balanced" i think they are pro bush. thats good though.
I find it amusing that certain people go around saying Fox is the most "fair and balanced" news network. That's an example of marketing success at it's finest. Suckers. I believe Fox gets all types of viewers because it is a bit more risky and daring than any other news network. I agree with some things on Fox, while I get annoyed off by many other things. It's the things that annoy me that hold my interest in such a news network. It sure is a heck of a lot better than seeing the Larry King's of the world give their interviews loaded with friendly easy questions.
fox news is like this: reporter: "ok, we have developing news...one moment...ok my producer is telling me now that the latests report is that bush is awesome....ooh, one moment we have more breaking news coming over the wire..ok yes, it appears that kerry sucks. ok coming up on the half-hour we have a special report on how much republicans rule. we will be back after the break. fair and balanced"
There is no way the bias is that blatant. I personally feel it is addition by subtraction. If a network is less liberal then they are more conservative. The thing I like about Fox is that they are not afraid to be pro-American. All these other douch bags feel the need to report news from a middle eastern view point in the name of staying 'objective'. If you want that go watch BBC or Al Jazeera, but keep it off our airwaves.
Fox News is biased, but they still discuss all the news. My problem with the networks is that they don't show all the news. For instance, they'll discuss the good things happening in Iraq, but no one else does. Or their obessesion with the Joe Wilson thing, all 3 networks covered it non-stop, but when it came out that the Senate CIA report contradicted everything he said, there's was maybe one mention. I think I heard CBS never mentioned it. Their anchors are usually harder on the Democrats they have on there. Sometimes they make snide comments about Kerry, but it's nothing Brokaw, Jennings, and Rather don't do to Bush. I would say they are somewhat fair and balanced. More so than CNN, CBS, ABC, NBC. I actually think MSNBC is pretty good minus their primetime line-up.
exactly. i feel like there is a nice balance in media today. fox is filling a void, and it is a very good thing, in my opinion. one thing fox is guilty of is reporting too much stupid useless crap. like lacey peterson. they have hours of coverage a day on it. i dunno why i am supposed to care even slightly. so what, some woman got killed by her husband. please report actual news, not soap opera stuff that couldnt be less important. is insane that crap like that takes up so much news time. (i am aware they do it because people want to see it but i still hate it.)
