I would love to hear some feedback on my conundrum: I am a huge LSU fan here in Chicago. I get together with the alumni chapter up here and watch the games at a really cool sports bar. There are usually between 50-100 of us and it's a blast (the bar even plays our fight songs over the sound system). I have been looking forward to the Auburn game for months, as many of the AU alumni will be there as well, creating a very festive environment. I know this isn't Tiger Stadium or Jordan Hare, but it's the best we can do up here. That being said, I have an opportunity to go to the World Series tomorrow night for free. Am I wrong for having to think about this?
To me its a no brainer because I really could care less about pro baseball.....I'm sure if I was a fan of it I'd have a hard time as well. Are you a fan of either team? Do you really care about the game or do you just want to go, to say you went?
I am a Sox fan, but not a fanatic. I am leaning towards not going, but how many times in my life will I get a chance to go to a World Series game, especially here in Chicago!
and for free??? I wouldn't go......but if say for instance that the Super Bowl was played the same night as a BIG LSU game and I was given free tickets (regardless of who was playing). It would be a very difficult decision!! I would want to be at LSU, but like you said, "how many times in my life will I get a chance to go"?
The World Series is a once in a lifetime thing! It is the PASTIME of America! Record the game on tv, and watch it when you get home!
WOW, tough decision. I'm an astros fan and I dont know what I would do. I couldn't see myself missing an LSU game though.
Seee if you can make a trade for the Sunday or Monday game. If it was me though, I'd be looking to sell the damn things and stay home and watch the Tigers. I just love 'em that much!
That was my original thought. Tickets are going for about $2,000 apiece. I was going to watch the game with $4,000 in my pocket. These are our company's season tickets. I had to sign a "oath" promising that I would use them myself, not sell them.
