It seems to me that some SEC game is on TV at night every Saturday. LSU can get a night game when on the road, but not at home. Is this correct and, if so, is it mere coincidence?
Auburn will be at night, and will be a great game for us LSU fans to let out our frustrations of having no SEC night games yet this year.
CBS picked up the FLA game, if they wouldn't ESPN would've picked it up and it would've been at night like I would've preferred. However, good teams should be able to play in both.
CBS gets first choice, so the highest profile SEC game is always on CBS at 2:30. ESPN gets priority on one game a year, and they picked LSU/AU as that game this year. Had we won Saturday, the USC game would have been on CBS, but they decided to take Arkansas/Florida instead.
There is one way to ensure most of our home games are at night ... LOSE! The more we win, the more we'll be on CBS...
Winning SEC programs will regularly make appearances on CBS. Had we kept on winning, we may have been on for 3 weeks in a row. If our program continues to develop and win, we all better get used to it. I would dare guess that if we keep winning, we won't be seeing too many 11:30 JP games, since ESPN gets 2nd choice after CBS.
I'm still kinda surprised that CBS took the LSU-Florida game over the Georgia-Tennessee game. At any rate, I am glad we have one night game in SEC play. Guess I'll have to get used to having more day games. As long as we're winning, I can live with that.
