Sad to say that I predicted this right after the Madrid bombings.
Its time for "All" of America to rally around our president right now and whoever the president is after this years elections.

The left has attacked George Bush like he was the enemy not Al Quaida.

Mary Landrieu is on fox right now talking about this administration, do they have us in mine or are they looking out for themselves.

If I didn't know better, I would think she was talking about her own party.
Its a matter of perspective, I don't ever remember a president attacked so
much in a time of war, maybe Vietnam but we were our own worst enemy,
Johnson deserved it, bombing empty forests etc.

She was asked a question and she gave an anti-Bush speech in return and
wouldn't give John Sununu a chance to respond, they ran out of time.

I can't stand that woman, how in the hell did she ever get elected?
This makes me wonder if Hillary would ever be elected president in this country, anyone think this is possible?

Sorry, didn't mean to change the subject!

I could tell you in one word but it wouldn't be considered politically correct.

Back to the thread, rumor has it that Kerry is seeking help from France and Germany to provide security for the Democrats' convention.

She got elected the first time with a little help from the voting precincts in
    St. Louis Cemetaries #1 & 2.

My own grandfather would have never voted for her while he was alive...I'm sure it came as a great shock to him to find out that he voted for her less than a year after he died.

In 1996, late on election night, Mary Landrieu trailed Woody Jenkins in their
Senate race by about 40,000 votes, with only Orleans Parish left to report in. Now Mary could reasonably be expected to win Orleans Parish...it's her home. But what happened was ridiculous...she not only made up that 40,000 vote deficit, but she won by a margin that combined w/ those 40,000, added up to more votes than there were registered voters in Orleans Parish. And this isn't taking into account the people in New Orleans that voted for Jenkins.

The U.S. Senate, prodded by Jenkins (who like Al Gore a few years later
came off looking like a whiney sore loser), did a cursory investigation into the matter before seating Mary, but in the end, didn't follow thru on it and seated her.

So, its not exactly "proven". How much exposure did this get on the news? How come this isn't brought up more often?

It got a lot of exposure on the news at the time. Eventually, after a couple of years, Woody Jenkins just dropped the whole matter when he realized he couldn't win.

C'mon, man...this is LOUISIANA. You don't really think Mary Landrieu is the first candidate in this state elected to office by a deceased electorate, do you? Man, our history is absolutely rife w/ such goings-on.
