What are you suggesting that they have in common? A dislike for Condi? Please, for the love of God, tell me that's not what you're getting at. Please tell me that I am missing something...

In a related story, Bush and Hitler have something in common: neither likes their toast buttered!

Oh yeah, that's right. Democrats hate America, I forgot. That must be why they hold public offices. Gen. Wesley Clark CLEARLY tried to bring this country down with all of his years of service. And that Roosevelt fella, what the hell did he ever do for this country?

Well, for one, he declared war against an enemy that attacked us. Then he expanded the conflict to go after a murderous dictator. Sound familiar?

Oh yeah, the muderous dictator that they didn't actually have to lie about to get to him? The murderous dictator that was actually in cahoots with the people that attacked us? The muderous dictator that was already involved in the war, and was, in fact, engaging in a number of offensive to gain control of his region? Yeah that does sound familiar. I think I mentioned something about his toast preference in this thread.

    Chaos,
So do you really believe that this article was done in good faith?
    http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,156755,00.html

Was Rathergate done in good faith?

Yep, the opposition in this country are the democrats and with friends like them who needs enemies?
They would rather bring down George Bush even if it means destoying their country!
My how we have fallen since 9/11, another 10 years like the last 5 and our country won't exist as we once knew it.

Still hanging on to that WMD thing? I hate to get too personal here, but anyone who doesn't know that Sadaam had and used weapons of mass destruction is one stupid m****r f****r.

There are different ways of looking at this sort of situation. I'll give you two to disagree with:

    1) The conspiracy theorist in me at least considers the possibility that this is the product of a large-scale 'cover-up'. Think about it. The government simply cannot withstand another Abu Ghraib-type scandal. In fact, they're still trying to explain/figure out that one. They certainly have the capability to 'influence' certain entities not to say or to recant certain things. Of particular interest to them being classified, or 'unofficial' data. Things have been known to leak out. How? I don't know. But it happens. However...

    2) ..the cynic (relative term, of course) in me believes that this is just a classic case of over-eager newsreporters. Think about how brutally competitive the newmedia (barf) market is right now. It's evolved (well, 'unevolved', really) to an entertainment business that is loosely based on facts. 'Never let the truth get in the way of a good story!' And journalists will jump at anything for the sake of being the first one to break the blockbuster story. It's always been that way. If there were suddenly discoveries of WMD in Iraq, they'd be even more eager to break that one.

Many would argue that dubya is doing an impressive job of destroying their country on his own.

Finally! I knew we'd agree on something eventually. I mean, 5 years ago, we had the largest national surplus ($230billion) in our nations history. Now, we're on track to to have another record deficit this year ($427billion). Five years ago, we didn't find ourselves engaged in a needless war amidst a time when our focus should have been elsewhere. In fact, I believe that 5 years ago, we still had a foreign policy. Five years ago, the federal authorities still had to abide by the constitution. Five years ago, bla bla bla beause I'm sure that's what all of this sounds like to you...

You know, I'll agree with you. He most certainly did use them on the Kurds. And anyone who won't admit that most likely also denies the holocaust. However, how did you know I was not referring to the supposed Iraq-Taliban connection? That was a pack of lies, too.

Tell that to the families of civilians who got their heads chopped off by a Talibanista.
