Who cares about Jimmy Carter and the Jews?
Carter ruined America and not Isreal!

I find this post very entertaining along with the rest of yours.
Wow, all I can say is that you call out people for being so bitter and mad
enough at the world when it is written through out your post in your
    attitude and your language.

I think that one could learn something from ones dad if nothing else some
    manners or class.
You are the one that is ethnocentrism because your basing all of your
stuff in your posts from the Liberal point of view.

I also find it laughable if you don't think the Nobel Peace prize hasn't lost
a little bit of credibility when people like Kofi Annon and Yassar Arafat winning.
I now you don't want to remember the Oil for Food program and the bribes
involved from the UN, that really helped a lot of starving people in Iraq.

Love the get a life attitude in your first post btw.

I have no issue with global warming, the earth has gone through periods
of heating and cooling forever but I have yet to hear anyone including
Al Gore to prove that man is the reason for this event alone or has effected
    the climate that much.
The earth has gone through radical climate changes before, animals have
become extinct at different times and man had absolutely nothing to do with
    it.
Does Al Gore talk about Mars ice caps melting in his movie?
Nope, Why? Because it doesn't fit his story, case closed!
One more point, all the computer models are fed information by man
that says man causes global warming.
The computers can only calculate based on assumptions not facts.

All we would be doing is disrupting our economy and giving other countries
the advantage if we were to enable all kinds of restrictions due to global
warming and the kicker is that there is no way we would ever know if it
    would actually make any impact.
Even if we did restrict ourselves with changes, there are plenty other countries that will continue to grow and pollute so it really doesn't matter
    for what its worth.

Its kinda like Stem cells, there is no proof that they would ever get Christopher Reeve or anybody else to walk again but it is a nice thought.
We can always hope and pray that man can fix things but when you get
around to it it still is only a hope and prayer but an expensive one in that
when talking about global warming but no one will know if it actually works for years if ever!

Unbiased source...mmmm...K. How about Annans own words?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/3573229.stm

"The United Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan has said he could and should have done more to stop the genocide in Rwanda 10 years ago."

Now, Im not gonna do your homework for you but check into what Annan was doing in Rwanda in 1994. Check into what happened with the UN General who was over ruled by Annan and then look into who else was involved in this circus. Its all easily available via the internet. You will find that Annan and the same moron who was accused of shredding documents in the "oil for food" fiasco where partners in crime and conducted themselves with the utmost shame.

Once you get that far go ahead and research what the Associated Press uncovered about Annans attempts to stiffle the investigation. Then research what the UN General on the ground said about Annan's actions and how it was partly to blame for thousands of deaths.

Once you are done with that we can go on to the next Annan disaster. There are enough to fill a few pages here, Im ready. BTW...I think Rush Limbaugh is a gas bag and I dont listen to him.

I've been on a bunch of committees, both political and private. Planning Commission, Zoning Board, Urban Development Board. S.C.O.R.E Advisory Committee, President of Chamber of Commerce along with several committees’s and boards within my trade but not at my company. We dont do committee's, we are all independent contractors. I would say I have a healthy exposure to these environments.

    Claim on second paragraph? Ummmm...ok.

How about one of the most decorated French geophysicists leaving the IPCC? How about the US Senate refuting Gores claims? How bout 60 Canadian Professors and PhD’s calling it bunk? How about a thousand other Atmospheric Scientists, geologists and physicists? Here are a couple sources of about a million available. Go and absorb for a while.

incorrect. if anything, i hate the stupid traditions of my ethnicity, and i only give a damn about america in as much as it is the most economically free country around. since most other places have less economic freedom than we do, they are necessarily that much more wretched.

there is a reason america dominates the world, and that reason is capitalism, nothing else. the rest of the UN is pushing for collective action, which is almost always a bad idea. they want to bring america down to their level, and environmental regulation is one of their primary angles.

the ipcc is basically driven by the agenda of developing countries and socialists.

if this is the case then the best thing for the environment will happen without any outside manipulation, through the ordinary progress of the economy. since it isnt true, it will take lots of regulation and rules imposed on people. regulation and manipulation is the fastest way to create human misery.

    More like.."Jesus wept".

My response to this whole stupid thread:

    1) It takes a warrior to be a true peacekeeper. Those who believe that peace can be won diplomatically are nothing but fools. The history of the world proves my point. Blessed are the peacekeepers = Blessed are the men who are brave enough to secure it.

    2) Who gives a **** if the world is getting a little warmer? I say it's a good thing. I, personally, hate cold weather.

The only thing between you, Libertad, and the scumbags that would do you harm are the "peacekeepers". Sleep well tonight knowing that they are protecting you, even though you don't think very highly of them.

First off, on a digression, if the polar icecaps are melting, couldn't we send all the excess water to all the huge deserts in the world? Like Saudi Arabia . . .

Second, Kissinger for sure deserved his damned prize for the no-huddle diplomacy he did during the Yom Kippor War. We have never gotten closer to WWIII than that time.

there is a guy named chris landsea, who works for the national hurricane center, who was part of the ipcc, contributing his expertise on how warming is contributing to hurricanes. his contention is that hurricane frequency is not affected much at all, but unfortunately the ipcc wants to hear bad news, so he resigned, saying:

"I personally cannot in good faith continue to contribute to a process that I view as both being motivated by pre-conceived agendas and being scientifically unsound"

i think that is emblematic of how the process is flawed.

I don't know where you got that, because we disagree?
I said that because some of the comments and remarks and how you
    came across in your language.
Later on I did wish that I wouldn't have said that, I was a bit harsh
and admit it but it had nothing to do about beliefs.

    Disagree, not me anyway.
I don't like Kofi Annon for many reasons aside from Iraq.
    1) Scandal involving son
    2) All the other stuff swept under the rug such as rapes by UN forces in other
    countries, corrupt system.
    3) Last reason is that UN has no balls, there is absolutely no accountability
for Iraq or Iran dodging International law.
    4) Now if you want to include Iraq fine but I have the other reasons first.

Hindsight is 20/20 meaning that I was for us going into Iraq in the first place
but have changed my mind but I want to stay and win at ANY cost because
I don't like losing and we aren't trying hard enough.

I have no way to know where you stand on this issue?
We would've never known about Oil for Food if it wasn't for W going into Iraq.
The French were also violating the law by sending weapons.

Well I am betting that its all one sided.
When you only present one side of the story not allowing for debate you don't
    tell the complete story.

My understanding that the input to the computers are put in by humans
and are based on assumptions not facts therefore the information is
    somewhat misleading.

I have read about Mars Ice caps also melting.
I believe that global warming is a natural event not man made.
In other words sun activity, axis of earth, volcanos, hot springs, forest fires
by lightning and various things cause global warming more so than man.

I was referring to the assumptions that man causes global warming.
Also the figures that are entered into these models are just that.
Computers are perfect man is not!

I don't know, everything costs money and has its price.

Again, you are assuming that global warming is man made?

I actually don't like politics but it is a reality of life.

Ok, Who is willing to pay for this and at what cost?
How do we know when to start and complete?
How do we select a project manager or someone to call the shots?
Sounds like a booming business to me!
Speaking of dollars, where does the money go from Al Gore's video?

Tell your dad I said Hi and I'd like to meet him!:yelwink2:
Tell your wife Hi as well and I don't know how she puts up with you?

    Nice Civil discussioin!

I couldn't help but bring this up.
Couldn't find it on any of the Liberal sites but I'm sure it happened.
Makes Al Gore, his movie and beliefs look bad.
He is nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and he skips out on a debate.
Sorry macatak911 I had too much to say!
