Al Gore has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize for his "work" on global warming. What a joke. He is not a scientist and has done no original research on the topic. This is strictly political. Anyone can nominate anyone they want for the prize, so that his nomination should not be taken too seriously. Should a miracle happen and he gets it, the Nobel Peace Prize itself will lose even more credibility than it already has.

Carter has lost a bit of luster, especially with the jewish community. Annan...Arafat? What a fuggin joke. Arafat pretty much pioneered terrorism and Annan is a disgrace. They should go back and re-think some of the morons who were awarded the Nobel. In retrospect its easy to view this award as tainted.

Al Gore? BWAHAHA...this is pretty much up there with "I inveted the internet". Gore is a mouthpiece, thats it. If he wins this it will further erode respect for the Nobel Prize.

Ho Chi Minh was a co-recipient with Kissenger in 1973. That was a joke. Minh was the one who started the war in the first place. That was when the NPP began to lose credibility in my eyes. Kissinger and Nixon should have recived it since they were the ones who engineered the peace accord, such that it was. Minh saw he could not win a military victory and agreed to sign the treaty with the idea of using the cease fire to achieve a take over of SVN. He signed the thing with the intent of violating its previsions as soon as the Americans left, which he did. Giving him the NPP was a sham, but the NPP committee hated Nixon so much they did not give a damn.

Yea. That was ridiculous. Why not just give it to Osama? I am sure that is in the works.

It has lost credibility because it has awarded it to individuals who has had little or nothing to do with the reason for awarding it to them. i.e. Ho, Chi Minh, Arafat, Annin. The award has become extremely political; it has become primarily a pat on the back for liberals by liberals.

And I have got a life. Thank you.

mother teresa as well, she hid behind her BS religion in order to spread misery. she wasnt a doctor or healer or anything, she basically was a horrible fraud, with the marketing machine of the catholic church propping her up.

when you win an award, you should consider the other winners to decide if you are proud. like if you win a cy young, you see greg maddux on there and you know you are awesome. if you win a nobel peace prize you should be ashamed.
