    Is this stuff really true?
    Is this happening in America?

It is amazing to me that there is absolutely no talk here about this kind of stuff.
It seems to me that our rights as citizens are being eroded right in front of our eyes.
I think it started with medical records, Imminent domain and now people are being targeted for the amount of wealth they have made or bonuses?
Why don't people ever target Congress or politicians since this is their fault in the first place.

I will remind you that I'm against most if not all bailouts in the first place and none of this would've happened if we let these companies file chapter 11 or 13.
What we have done was left open the door for anti-capitalists to make their case, perfect opportunity.
Some might not agree with me, I do hope I'm wrong but it looks to me like some serious changes in our society may happen over at least the next 4 years.
Some wonder why I look at the future as pretty dark and I don't really think I'm pretty paranoid with the news of today!

That would be eminent domain. Sorry, the inner grammar nazi comes out sometimes.

I do think a lot more people than you realize are alarmed the things you listed. There is so much craziness going on that I can hardly even read the news anymore. Bailing out failed companies because they're "too big to fail"; forcing taxpayers to bail out people who defaulted on their mortgages because they bought more than they could afford; the Obama administration floating the idea of making wounded veterans pay for their own medical treatment just to save some money because they spent the rest of it rewarding failure...

I'm just not sure if there really is a groundswell of anger against this, or if I'm just hoping there is. If most national press outlets weren't balls deep in the Democratic party, I'd probably have a better idea.

Seriously, the congress is of the people, so if you wanna blame congress you have to blame everyone.

I hope none of you have your privacy invaded like these people have!
I never thought I'd see the day where things like this happen in America!
This among other reasons is why I don't think everything is ok and I'm skeptical about the future.
I think most people who support Obama and this kind of stuff is for class warfare but what they don't understand is that this is the beginning and not the end and that the chickens may come home to roost one day!

It's OK. The media and the Dems in Congress told them that they are supposed to be outraged.

its been happening for years with a different issue.

doctors that perform abortions have for years off and on been picketed at their homes and have been threatened and had their families threatened and harrassed by groups such as operation rescue.

not to hijack or get on the topic of abortion, im just trying to point out that this is not a new tactic. and imo, its not cool no matter where/who it is.

I would agree that this isn't new and it is not good no matter who it is.
Keep in mind that I don't want our rights eroded and yet they are being eroded right in front of our eyes.

I'll give you another example also,
The last time we had a democrat president citizens were held hostage on their land and subjected to torture by night leading to the deaths of many innocent citizens.
Military equipment was used on their property against them.
Then you have the Elian Gonzalez situation, who's rights were violated in these cases?
Imagine if Bush had done something like these two things?
Hell, the left doesn't even want us to torture terrorists or enemies but they seem to have no problem with this kind of thing on American soil!:insane:
