Did she testify that her parents were aware of the drinking at these parties? If so, can't say I'm completely shocked. There are parents today hosting parties and serving alcohol under the mistaken concept that it's better the kids do it under their roof than elsewhere.

IMO, a partial truth which is typical when someone wants to mitigate. She didn't want to say none because that was obviously not true so she said one.....very well could have been 2 or more.

This has been my biggest issue with her position. He's made a lot of decisions and written opinions up to this point and all had the potential for impacting the way people live their lives. The only reason to wait until now is Roe.

This, I can't agree with. Let's say I believe her story. She was still a minor and fear/shame are two very strong emotions. Strong enough to keep a victim from speaking up. What is the likelihood that anyone would have believed her back then if she had said something? As an adult who was a victim of much worse as a child, I can tell you that I have experienced overwhelming guilt for the reason you mentioned above. But does a child who has been assaulted have a duty? Putting it on record doesn't guarantee prevention.

Agree with pretty much all of this, although I'm not convinced that something happened that night, at that party. Perhaps at another time by someone else. I remain unconvinced.

 

Of course they can't because they assumed he was guilty. The thing is, if you aren't guilty, you can't fake what your response would be to that extent. You can think you know, you can act out what you believe it would look like, but you absolutely can't fake the truth.

 

That needs to be run as a political ad between now and November, everyday, on every station, every hour on every show, in every Facebook post , in every twitter feed, instagram, Snapchat, ..... especially in every DemoCRAP race in America.

They need to scrap every us history lesson between now and Nov, and run this clip, send it home to the parents ...... and DARE there asses to complain about it! I think that’s the best I’ve ever seen LG.

 

vball's right on this one. Seems logical, on the surface but victims of these kinds of things most often don't come forward.
