Says that his ankle injury will slow his 40-time, which will cause his draft stock to drop considerably... his "consultants" tell him he shouldnt risk getting locked into a bad contract...

when in another thread I said that I was hearing he'd stay, you all blew me off saying he "HAD" to leave...

I sure hope you are right man!

With Ko Simpson going pro and his injury, he would be making a mistake to come out now. He will be drafted higher next year and probably get a much better contract. Plus its good for us that he stays another year while we break in a new defense.

Add to this the fact that his important numbers---like total tackles---are down from 2003 and 4 and it makes plenty of sense.

Let's get that first-team All-American slot next year, LaRon! Good choice.

I haven't checked but hopefully his numbers are down b/c our linebackers and D-lineman are making more tackles. Its not always a good thing to have your free safety leading the team in tackles. Hope he stays.

IMO if he does not go in the first round, and he won't, he would be foolish not to stay in college and increase the value of his stock come next year.

Yeah. This situation smells like "Brandon Bass" all over again!

No offense to Landry, but Huff and Simpson will be picked before him anyways. And if this ankle injury is true (I know the same "source"), then it definately is best that he remain at LSU one more season.
