1. I've never heard of a ref apologizing to to a player after making a bad call.

  2. I was wondering how a Va Tech player holding Hester to the ground and getting in his face was holding on LSU.

  3. I dunno, it sounds like the ref is looking for LSU holds because he thinks they can't be as good as they are.
  4. That has happened before. In '03, we sometimes were called for holding on offense and defense because our guys were so awesome that it seemed we had to be doing something illegal.
  5. was that the play where they were tied up on the eye in the middle of the field and our punter came in and kicked the vt guy?
  6. Yes
  7. Somehow missed the punter rescue, maybe it wasn't televised...

When I heard the number and name I was floored. I don't think Hester has ever been called for anything remotely unsportsmanlike or otherwise. He's "cool in a fog".

  8. It happened. Not sure if he kicked the vt guy or ran up and tackled the guy off hester but either way he wasn't havin none of that on the eye.
  9. VT lesson learned: Never play roshambo with a punter:eek:

  10. Nice that he apologized. Pity that his call negated a great punt and caused us to kick it again. It worked out fine for us, but considering how good Va Tech is supposed to be at special teams, it could have cost us a block and some points, so it just torques me that much more.
