I am an Auburn fan and I am not comming into your site talking smack or this and that because frankly it doesnt matter what we (fans) say or do. That being said, I would like to say hello and I cant wait untill saturday night. I know Ole Miss has had some sucess but I believe we both know that this one is for the west title. I unlike alot of my counterparts dont believe we will have great sucess against your physical deep defensive front seven, but in retrospect I dont feel your ground game will have sucess either. It could come down to QB play and their are alot of simularities between our QBs. I believe AUBs sucess will come from their backs just not on the ground Via the Air. I believe Maucks sucess will come in crossing routes and with his legs. This should be a classic and proably come down to turnovers and special teams. War Eagle! AUB13 LSU10* of course!
Yeah, youre right about this one being an "elimination" game. We will both beat Ole Miss. I dont think either of us will have "great" success on the ground, but I do think we will both have average numbers on the ground. Its nice to have so many players to sub in an out on the entire defense and offensive backfield. I really like what Justin Vincent has been able so do in the open field, and I think he will see a few passes behind the line. Thats where he had a lot of success last week. Also, Mauck did run the ball pretty well a couple of time last week, but thats the first time all year he has really committed to the run. I dont know if the coaches are trying to build his confidence back up, or if they just dont want him to run or what. His legs are part of what make him dangerous, and I really havent been happy with how little he gets called run plays. Though having said that, I would hate to see him get hurt again- Randall is the last thing we need.
I agree, Hubbs. I made the same point on an Auburn board yesterday. Both of these defenses have stuffed the run all year. I think the team with the best passing game will win.:geaux:
Whats the word with your O-Lineman is he gonna go? I have heard he isnt. It really doesnt matter about injuries up front with either team we are both so deep. Another thing I would like to point out about the game is Ball controll. My father and I always talk about LSU during recruting season mainly because you guys here lately are up top but I have to think that controlling the clock is more essential to AUB in this game primarily because of all the redshirts you guys have. Kinda reminds me of Pat Dyes teams at Auburn in the 80's. If you watched the ARK game we got tired late and bearly hung on to win. I am confident that with Ronnie returning he will help bear the burden of ole Cadalliac. As far as Jacobs goes I am really impressed but he didnt have good coaching in JUCCO cause he doesnt follow blocks well. Anyway War Eagle!
Nate Livings is the OLineman you are talking about, and he is out 4-6 weeks. Terrell McGill will be starting in his place, but there isnt much drop-off there.
Oh we are a strong team as well I just noticed that against ARK we did seem to get "tired Legs" some of that may have been UT the week before. As you guys know we were lucky enough to get MSU before you guys and set our starters in the second half. Really doesnt matter these are two of the leagues 3 best teams squaring off saturday night and I cant wait. About MSU whats going on there? 3 years ago they were tuff!
They were tough??? Our record against them over the past 15 years wouldn't make you think that. We have always owned MSU and will ALWAYS own MSU.
your MSU is our Ole Miss . .we've had unexplainable issues with MSU over the last 5 years but killed Ole Miss . .
Yah Ole Miss likes to play us like it is their MNC game, and we always seem to have trouble with them.
