Anyone that goes 12-0 through an SEC schedule ought to be playing for the NC. Auburn has a tougher road than OU to be sure, but if AU takes care of business and finishes 12-0, they should go to the NCG and play the Condoms before OU does. Auburn has had some impressive wins this year, and they did just barely get by the defending national champs. ;) I am throwing my support to Auburn in this BCS BS. :thumb:

been backing auburn since they beat us and our fans trying to downplay it. LSU is good yet lacks team chemistry and they proved that by almost beating AU.

Most fans here think there are some great teams out there we cannot compete with and its simply untrue. AU is very good and we almost beat them. They deserve to be in the NC game. USC may be 3rd at best. they play no one.

Auburn has simply been the most impressive team in the country this year, with the LSU game being their only close encounter. Their OOC schedule has hurt them in the BCS standing a little but finishing with UGA, Bama and then the SEC CG will help them somewhat. It's a shame UT is going to be their opponent probably as a rematch with UGA would help them more.

I just want a senario where USC gets screwed. After all the hype Auburn received last year, the results of its game with USC, you have to think that USC-Auburn in the MNC game would be good. Two NCs out of the SEC West in two straight years wouldn't be bad.

Yes we almost beat them. But if Auburn were to play LSU this coming weekend, it would not be pretty. So your statement needs to be analyzed in the context of the entire season. Auburn was still trying to establish an identity when we played them.

OU should not even have been in the championship game last year, much less this year. Who knows, maybe they'll lose their conference "championship" game again like they did last year.

Just think if we had beaten AU in that game, if things might be going a bit differently with both teams having one loss...

In any case, although that was a disappointing loss for us, we're still having a good year - ought to go 9-2 at this point. Can't see us losing to Ole Miss and while Arkansas is always a tough opponent, they're not as good this year as in the past.

As far as Jamuarcus Russell -- I though the ESPN announcers made a good point last night -- it took a while for Jason Campbell to develop. I think this year has been a good learning experience for JR and he'll be better next year.

Believe me, be happy that we are 9-2 instead of 6-5. We're not that far off from having 4 or 5 losses.

I tip my hat to Saban for keeping this team together and pulling out one ugly win after another. This might be his finest coaching job so far at LSU.

Jason Campbell took 4 years to develop. We can't afford to wait that long for JR.

lsu would compete just as well against AU, if not better, at this point of the year. The defense is hitting its stride.. the only concern is the deep ball.. need a little better safety play because our corners are banged up and arent covering the long pass as well. With a defense this good, it is a matter of whether the offense can manage a few drives.
