John Saunders of ABC/ESPN during the Mich - Ohio St pregame said that if USC gets into the BCS Championship Game they would be playing in their "fourth straight championship game". He fails to remember that USc played in the Rose Bowl against Michigan in 2004 and it was the LSU Tigers that beat Oklahoma in the BCS Championship Game in January 2004.
This is what really gets me. If they want to call USC the co national champions from 2003, then fine--I don't agree with it, but okay. (If we had won the AP title, we probably would have claimed it too). BUT DON'T CALL IT THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!! If Michigan had won, would they have been national champs? Of course not. So no, it's not the national championship game!
Who cares? Seriously, it happened 3 years ago we would claim the same thing if we were #1 in the AP. I hate USC as much as the next guy but get over it already.
