My Christmas Wish With the Holiday Season upon us I offer this Classic with a twist. From the Christmas Classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life” do you remember when George Bailey was called into Potter’s office and offered a job? George Bailey, played by Nick Saban, and Potter, played by Wayne Huizenga. Potter (Huizenga): “I am willing to offer you a three years contract at $20,000 per year.” George Bailey (Saban): (drops his cigar) He was making $45 per week at the time. George Bailey (Saban): “I know I ought to jump at the chance. I wonder if you could give me 24 hours.” Potter (Huizenga): “Sure, sure, you go home and talk it over with the wife and I’ll draw up the contract.” George Bailey (Saban): “O.K. Mr. Potter (Huizenga).” They shake hands. George Bailey (Saban): Looks at his slimy palm. George Bailey (Saban): “Nah, nah. Wait a minute here. I don’t need 24 hours. The answer is NO, NO!.” George Bailey (Saban): “Dog gone it. You sit around here and spin your little web and think the whole world revolves around you. In the whole vast configuration of things you’re nothing but a scurvy little spider. George Bailey (Saban): Leaving in a huff and directed at Potter’s (Huizenga’s) assistant (Don Shula) – “AND THAT GOES FOR YOU, TOO!” Happy Holidays
