......because there is not any college football on tv. :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry: :bncry:
I am a fan of football, and if its on TV, I will watch it. The D-1 AA and D II playoffs are pretty exciting and you see a diversity of schools and styles being represented. My question: Why does the SWAC not participate in the playoffs?
Bottom line is $$$. 1) because of the timing of the 1AA playoffs, the annual Southern vs Grambling game would have to be moved back a week...which they refuse to do. 2) Because of the timing of the 1AA playoffs, the SWAC championship game would have to be moved back 3 weeks, which they refuse to do. The SWAC is not the only conference to not play in the 1AA playoffs. We also have the Ivy League who shun the lowbrow-ness of a "meaningless" football championship. HA!
