Force into existence? You mean the irresponsible casual sex I mentioned earlier? Again, why is it our problem to deal with the results of others' lack of self control? Oh, ok. For me the death penalty is a "justice" issue, not a "life" issue. ha!
I don't think so and I think this is where the majority of strife between pro-lifers and pro-choicers comes from. I'd bet most Republicans who are against abortion aren't against abortion in cases where the life of the mother is threatened. I'd also bet than many Democrats who are pro-choice don't believe in abortion beyond a certain point in the pregnancy when the baby is more fully developed. Isn't the main point of argument when life begins? I don't think that the baby is simply a part of the mothers body until she gives birth and I don't think we can simply allow a mother to choose on her own if she wants to murder her baby or not (once life has begun). That makes legal the worst case scenario, even though more often than not the mother is probably not taking the decision lightly. Now, I'm not sure when life begins, but I'd think we'd want to err on the side of proving irrevocably that there is not life.
Nobody knows and that's why we leave this decision in the hands of the mother, the only person who has to actually bear the child. Let her be guided by her beliefs and her family and minister, not by the government and certainly not by the religious beliefs of others.
then you better double check the type of birth control your lady is using. could be murdering a baby every month.
What a bunch of hogwash. It is quite evident that at the very moment of conception the embryo is moving in a direction towards it own best interests. A human embryo shows all the characteristics that define life. An honest look at it leaves no ambiguity in the matter. Life begins at conception and anyone who thinks differently is selling something.
How droll. I guess we better start a task force to round up all the guys who beat it. I see a big difference between lamb skin and a surgical procedure. Even the morning after pill. Ultimately, though, it is probably ideal for spiritual development to forgo intercourse unless intending to reproduce. I don't feel guilty for holding mothers responsible for their actions. I only support abortion in extreme cases; that may not seem to be what's best for society, but teaching that casual sex is ok and that there aren't consequences for adult actions may be worse.
How long into the pregnancy are you willing to allow, and do mothers continue to have this decision after birth? I don't get that women are the only ones who have a say about what happens with their baby. The father should have rights as well; it took two to get her that way.
