Wed. at approximately six o'clock pm, a murderer was executed by the state of Mississippi. Part of his last words were to recomend that people vote for Obama because "he" has people working "behind the scenes" to try to elimenate this cruel capital punishment. You can just bet that made me want to vote for Obama two or three times......I mean an encouragement from such an upstanding guy as this.:lol:

You should probably post the entire story in its context.

Man, you are "quick." I knew you would jump on anything even close to being against Obama, but that was impressive. Basically, that is all there was to it. At first, he asked for the death penalty. Later, he changed his mind and tried to have it changed to life in prison. The rest of his last words were to apoligize to the family, etc. If you really want the "rest of the story" of how he and another guy beat a man to death with a claw hammer, go to today's CLARION-LEDGER. I will say that this is one case where I "might" have changed his sentence. He held the man while another man beat him with the hammer. I would execute "both" of them. However, the man who actually delivered the fatal blows, was sentenced to life by a jury. The man just executed decided he wanted to have his decision rendered by a judge.

While the fact is I am for Obama, the point of my post wasnt arguing or standing for Obama. I was refering to the fact that the guy who actually did the killing or swung the hammer, got life in prison. But this guy who asked for the death penalty and then retracted his statement, is the one who will or has died, shouldnt have imo. I would have executed the guy who actually delivered the fatal blow. I guess the guy who died had really bad representation, but if he really had a mental disease, I am definitely against executed him in that state of mind.

Furthermore, the only reason I responded so quickly, I just read the story minutes before you posted it. So i had some conclusive knowledge of the story in its completeness. So next time dont assume. All my post stated was that the story should be posted in its entirety for examination. So people can take away what they wanted from it, now what you insuated.

Sure there are, everyone at Gitmo. They can't wait for him to shut that place down so they can all take the boat to Miami and get represented by American public defenders on our dime. See, told you I didn't like him either. Sensation aint looking like such a bad choice right now.

I did not "assume" anything. I simply stated that here was a murderer about to be executed who was saying vote for Obama if you want capital punishment elimenated. I doubt Obama ever hears of the man's statement. I really don't think he or McCain really wants his endorsement. I'm not very good at a computer. I don't even know how to post articles from papers or mags, etc.

I'm sure there are. Some probably don't even know who is running or what they stand for. Doesn't really matter does it. I feel sure they lost their right to vote.:thumb:

only difference we have is that you would have executed both guys. myself I would have executed just the one guy who swung the hammer. Bottom line is, somebody is getting a needle.
