A close family member (related by marriage, not blood) is a rabid Rebel fan. After the game he announced that Ole Miss had disgraced itself Saturday. In his words, "The biggest home game since 1952 and it ends with Eli on his _ _ _."

The fair weather Rebel fans I know will not be going to the game against MSU. They say the Cotton Bowl holds no interest. That way they have a built-in explanation why Ole Miss will not travel well this post season.

LSU fans have a much deeper affection for their team than that.

I'm sorry to hear about that.

I hope that this is only a few Rebel fans who feel that way.

It was a very close game and LSU was fortunate to get the win.

Of course, Ole Miss was fortunate that we didn't bring our A game and score 40 points.

You are so correct. This is why they were snubbed last year (or was it the year before last) by all the bowls when they were 7-4.
