This post has sparked a backlash of activity on the Tulane boards which has reached an absurd level due to the fact that TULANE FANS HAVE NO SENSE OF HUMOR! In what started out as a harmless little barb, the likes of which are traded daily on these boards, poor little NOLA Davie has taken his ball(or overly queer pictures)and gone home. In my opinion, I think that Mr. NOLA Dave should consider that on his little site he may have committed various acts of copyright infringement with his pictures of Tulane Stadium, usage of pictures from the Helmet Project, and most curiously he uses images of amateur athletes without the permission of the NCAA all on a site that requests donations for it's upkeep. Can you spell a problem brewing here if the governing body that just this month sanctioned a coach for buying a player a burger when he had to tell the kid his father had just died - ever found this out? Hey, is the use of NOLA in his internet handle a copywrite violation? Funny when the whole little green universe was turned upside down a few weeks ago, these fellows on the Green Wave forum made multiple posts daily using pictures of Scott Cowan captured from newspapers and websites in various and unflattering manners and that was completely kosher. No one bothered to heed the copyright statements on the news and sports outlets that they came from. They even used pictures of chubby animated characters that are the absolute property of Disney and Pixar to make fun of Dr. Cowan's weight issues - all with complete glee and plenty of malice. However it's not so funny when the shoe is on the other foot though. You may be able to offer this garbage to the self absorbed who read your censored board, but I am not swayed by your bravado. I imagine that you never thought of all these things when you wrote that stupid e mail with your threats.... I would post this retort on the Greenie Board, but I am banned.....and it would get deleted anyway.
