good post. the problem is, the democratic party of today is too ruled by emotionally driven wimps who refuse to accept the world as it is. therefore, to get selected as the dem nominee you have to take kerry's new view. you cant get anywhere if you admit that war is right and necessary, even without the blessing of germany and france. just ask joe lieberman, he didnt waffle, and he got nowhere. democratic peaceniks will not back a candidate who favors unilateral war when it is necessary.
