lost 65-62 on the road vs. #1 ranked UCLA

was kinda hoping A&M would win since LSU beat A&M, but this was the 2nd best option (a close loss).

kinda gives you idea of how impressive LSU's win was over A&M

With a win over Texas, I look for LSU to jump back to #6 in the nation.

I was really pulling for aTm in that one. Wanted our win to look that more impressive (since it's evident that any slip-up in the "L" category for us in the early going will obviously result in LSU falling more spots than most of your other notible "basketball schools".)

Acie Law with 21 points against UCLA....

Temple held him to just 4 (two of which from FTs), so only one completed FG. Nice....

Temple may be the best defensive player in the nation that isn't a center (e.g, Oden from Ohio State)

I know he just started playing for them last week and played in 2 or 3 games now How does he look so far?

He wont be there long because he was a top 5 draft pick out of high school, so Ohio St better enjoy it while it last.

He's the proverbial "beast". No way he lasts past this season. Instant impact NBA player at the age of 19. He's touted as the most talented big man (American-born) in a generation (since Ewing).

I don't see anyone beating Ohio State in March. They have the perfect balance of great 3 point shooting with the most dominant big man in the college game.

Against Valpo, he played only 23 minutes but still managed to score 14 pts, pull down 10 rebounds and dominate defensively with 5 very impressive blocks.

Ohio State plays Florida at Gainesville on Dec 23rd.

16 points tonite, 8 for 8 shooting, 3 blocks in only 22 minutes. That gives him 11-12 on the season from the floor in 2 games.

Greg Oden is the best player in the nation right now...and thats scary considering hes shooting the ball with his left hand....by the way, hes right handed.

I think he will be much more like a Shaq than a Olajuwon. Much more of an inside game (8 foot and in) versus the 8-15 foot game of Hakeem.

Someone needs to check the eligibility of that dude, make sure the birthdate is 1987 and not like 1977. He is man, he looked like he was 30 when he was in high school, and played like it too.

He was 8-15 from the free throw line his first game. So he's already emulating his hero (Shaq).
