Fiu did his article on who the real winners of last nights awards should of been. Check out who he had for three of them http://collegefootballnews.com/2003/Columnists/Fiu/Award_Winners.htm
that much better Lavalais & LSU got dissed and screwed, they'll be that more motivated and pissed off ... for lack of due respect. As surely as the MAN made little green apples ... I'd hate to be Jason White with a Heisman Trophy BULLSEYE on my arse in that Dome. Brent Rawls (Evangel) will finish the game for OU.
Close your eyes and imagine ... the OU line leaking during the blitzes ... White with his bum knees trying to run ... getting mauled for big losses ... THE BLOODLUST .... AND BLOODTHIRSTY LSU DEFENSE ... UNPILING FROM A SHAKEN WHITE ... LOOKING UP IN THE LIGHTS OF THE DOME ... TO THEIR 12th MAN CHAMPIONS ... LSU FANS HUNGRY FOR ... THEIR APPROVAL ... NOT THE PRESS ... CAN YOU ... TASTE IT!
Excellent article. I am very sorry Chad Lavalais did not win one of those three awards. He is a fine player. He will go down in our history as a Great One. I wish him all the best, and I'd hate to be Jason White on January 4. With all due respect to Oklahoma, because they have a fine team, I believe this year's LSU team is a very special team, and the Tigers will find a way to win in the Sugar Bowl. As for USC and all this hoorah about a split championship, I have one word for them: MICHEEEGAN! Wolverines 31; Trojans 17
While I was a big BOOGER fan (especially upon hearing his nickname for the first time in TS when he was a freshman - my comment was "I bet nobody calls him that FACE TO FACE!"), having watched both, I don't think there's a big comparison. I've been saying all year - if Booger was a first rounder (and I believe he merited his first round status, BTW), then Lavalais should be one of the top 3 picks in the draft. He is THAT good. He is going to be a FORCE on the next level. And, I'll be a BIG fan of whoever drafts him - just like I'm pulling for N.E. right now. And, despite my HATRED for the Cowboys over the years, I still "silently" pull for them because of Brady.
Brent Rawls isn't with Oklahoma any more. He transferred before the season, not sure where. I'll get back to you on that. I do know it was a typical Evangel QB thing, i.e., pouting because of lack of PT.
That pretty much sums up the ESPN awards show last night, AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!! Eli Manning PLEEEEAASE!!! Lavalais not even a finalist for best lineman. Pete Crybaby Carol with the weak a$$ pac(pu$$y)10 schedule as coach of the year. I bet Dinardo wishes his Indiana team played in the pac 10 then he could be 11-1 and coach of the year!
