I got to ask (And you have probably answered already)

What is a Penn State fan from PA on our board.
For the record you are a welcome and great additional around here. Just strange since there is NO connection between Penn State and LSU (we dont play, no common coaches)

    Stick around just curious.

You gonna trust that poll or us? We always go to the Sugar Bowl. ;) Great bowl. Really. But we've never been to the Rose. Last La. team to do so was Tulane in 1932. I think that those who follow this team closely really want to see the LSU-USC matchup in the Rose if we had our choice, which we don't.

Because I'm from NW FL and the rest of my family is from SW MS and LA

I think you can make the connection from there. ;)

A lot of people are torn between supporting the SEC, and having a chance to beat the living crap out of USuCk. I voted Mich. Screw the SEC, this is personal.

(Florida should get it however, JMO)

The question was not about where we wanted LSU to go - it was: Who deserved the shot more, Florida or Michigan?
I live in LA and I voted for Florida because it's the right call, IMHO. Still, I'd prefer to face USC in the Rose.

It's folly to think that strategically biasing a non-random poll on ESPN.com is going to influence that decision.

Yeah, I would rather have an LSU-USC Rose Bowl than a OSU-UF NCG. Its an outrage if you look at the season as a whole, if uf doesn't make it...but like you said i won't shed a tear either. In fact, now we would be able to laugh at the Auburn AND Florida fans, which is always a plus :) . It's funny, because LSU is the only SEC team that hasnt been screwed by the BCS this decade, and if LSU were to be in the mix like UF is, I think we would make it over them, i don't know why, but i just think we would.

I dont know what to believe from ESPN. On Sportscenter, they showed this same poll and had Michigan leading with about 65% of the vote. The online pol shows quite a different result. Who knows what their agenda is. :dis:

It's the same poll, but the poll is continuing and Florida has momentum. I've been checking back on ESPN.com an the margin is shrinking. When I first saw the poll referenced on ESPNTV, Michigan led with 59% and theonly states voting for UF were Utah, Ohio and all of the Gulf Coast states except Texas. Now it's 53-47 Michigan and Texas, the Carolinas, and West Virginia are in Florida's column.
