The last section of the new Tiger Stadium upper deck is in place. Construction has continued through the week and new ramp lights were burning last night. They are starting to clear some of the construction debris from the lot. It's looking like there will be 100% capacity for the next game.
I like it... I like it... Can't wait.... I also got emailed that there is a plan in place to some sort of way get the stadium full capacity for the 1st game... SOOO I don't know how creative they will be? but we may see 90,000 after all
lol, that stadium will be packed. LSU will replace tickets that are wet. I'm sure it will be 90k plus in TS next sat night........ Even if 4 or 5 thousand fans can't make it, LSU will allow students or other fans to float around if it's not full by mid 1st qtr.....
there gonna let the evacuees in....i doubt it but maybe if they let a few in to help it fill up that would be kinda cool
I'd like to see them give extra seats(if possible) to the kids who are staying in baton rouge. Take the players and students who have enrolled at the various Baton Rouge schools to the game. It would probably be really good for them mentally. I couldnt image what it would feel like to be in their shoes. No home, no school. Anyway, just a thought. I'm not sure it would be possible to find out how many they could take and where to put them in time.
More than 300 refugees from Hurricane Katrina attended the Alabama vs MTSU game, thanks to some Alabama fans who donated their tickets at a Red Cross shelter in Tuscaloosa. Alabama gave $1 from every ticket sold to the hurricane relief effort.
