I read the guys article. Honestly, as a climatologist, he's an excellent surveyor.

It's not an article. It's a column, read "opinion". He's not claiming to be an expert, only an observer. And he makes a lot of sense. Remember the "radon" scare? What a bunch of hogwash. Same thing with "toxic" mold. I've been inhaling that stuff for 58 years. You and I are old enough to remember when air conditioning was a luxury. Without AC in this humidity, mold and mildew thrive like cockroaches in a trailer park. For a while there, coffee was a killer and New Orleans water was death on tap. I place the "threat" of global warming in that same category.

Off the subject, but toxic mold is suspected as the killer in the pet food poisoning scare.

My 11-year old beagle has never eaten canned food in his life. It's dry food and table scraps for him and he's been a damned healthy dog. I never thought canned food was healthy for a dog . . . or I was cheap . . . I forget.

This one eats dry mixed with canned. She's 5, weighs about 90 pounds ( got fat after the "fix") and can chase a tennis ball for hours on end without tiring.

Off topic but funny story about so-called "toxic mold". I own a few rental properties and one I bought when arriving in Bham was the subject of a toxic mold case. The previous owner had rented the home for 4 years. 3 years to a doctor and his family and 1 year to someone who turned out to be a scum bag.

Doctor, wife and 3 small children lived in the house for 3 years, no problems. Scum bags family moves in the house and after 8 months moves out in the middle of the night owing a couple months back rent. Few days later owner gets a letter from an attorney claiming scum bag tenants family is infected with toxic mold. Previous owner immediately hires an environmental engineer to perform an evaluation of the property. They came in and installed sample jars throughout the house, in the basement and outside. $2000 later he gets a 20 page report that states the air "outside" is more hazardous for contacting mold spores than the air inside the home.

Lawyer and scum bag quietly go away. :)
