http://www.collegefootballnews.com/2003/News/Daily/Daily_Briefing.htm http://bgi.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=248864 Notre Dame extended its current contract with NBC Sports by signing into a deal that will have NBC broadcasting at least six Irish home games each year from 2006 through 2010. Terms of the new deal were not disclosed, but it is believed that it pays the school approximately $9 million per season. Although the new contract extension doesn’t guarantee that Notre Dame football will remain an independent, it now becomes less likely for the university to join into a conference. Can you imagine that much money for 6 lousy games ... that's about $1.5 million PER GAME ... or Saban's current salary/yr. Our package deals aren't nearly this sweet. Can you blame ND for staying an independent? Now, there's a team we need to get back on a Home & Home! I wonder if THEY'D EVEN WANNA PLAY LSU ... 2004 ND FB Schedule Sept. 11 MICHIGAN Sept. 18 at Michigan State Sept. 25 WASHINGTON Oct. 2 PURDUE Oct. 9 STANFORD Oct. 16 vs. Navy (site TBA) Oct. 23 BOSTON COLLEGE Oct. 30 at BYU Nov. 6 at Tennessee Nov. 13 PITTSBURGH Nov. 27 at USC Looks like a September 4th spot is OPEN ... the Skipper has got to know this! Man, this would be one sweet replacement for VT, and LSU, unlike that lowlife Virginny scum, would HONOR their return game.
I hate Notre Dame for many of the reasons above. I hope they lose every game for a million years. I hope they have 2 million losing coaches
notre dame is the michael jackson of college football. they used to be kind of interesting if you were in middle school. but now they are losers that exist primarily for my amusement.
