No one has been arrested for gun violence, beating women or vandalism. No one has been linked with recruiting violations. No one has told the press about dissention on the team. No rumors of infighting within the coaching staff have been circulating. No one is linked to drug use. No one is reported to be skipping class, getting parking tickets or the like. There is no report of racial strife on the team. No recruits are bad-mouthing the school or the coaching staff. The only news this team makes is on the football field. The LSU team is elite, if not unique.
The best post this year! Give me a TEAM FULL of quiet, hard-working kids that believe in their coaches and themselves, a team w/out Prima Donnas like the Miamis and FSUs of College FB, and I'll show you Champions ... on and off the field
Thank God those days are long gone at LSU and we have an AWESOME group of fine young men who just want to work hard, hang out together, win, and have fun. I think the number of players Saban has thrown off the team since he got here, not the least of which, the whole Damien James episode, has set the tone; no matter who you are or what position you play, you are not more important than the team. Screw up, you will be given one chance, on a very short leash. Screw up again, you are GONE! End of story. No doubt what this program's standards are.
I agree with the tone and intent of terry's post... Not to rain on anyone's parade here, but.....I must admit I'm never one to let the pot stop stirring for too long... Anyone ever wonder why O. Perry Walker's Frank Wilson wasn't hired? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.......
I like it when the only news about LSU is their winning games... The Vols have been in the news for all sorts of bad things over the past few years. I know how their fans feel...but better them than us, I say.
