The issue should be, Is Terri's side being heard fairly vs Michael Shaviro? This is why the government is involved. The issue for me is for the right to life. I'm consistant, against abortion and euthanizing humans except for monsters that are on death row, Maybe certain exceptions for vegetables but Terri aint what I would call a vegetable. The issue is also we more humanely kill animals and murderers than people in this kind of condition. I want to make sure that Terri's side and her parents are heard as well as Michael Shaviro? Michael Shaviro doesn't have Terri's best interest at heart, he has a girlfriend, children by them. Why are some of you pro-death? Spouses such as this case don't have the other persons best interest at heart, Michael saying she wanted to be euthanized? :lol: What a laugh :lol: For this reason I think the parents should be the guardian in a case like this, not the husband. I think some of you will change your minds when the true facts come out! Careful what you ask for? It is not illegal to remove a feeding tube in this country. Now, if that is your real beef with this case, then you should really be pissed off at Congress and Bush for not having any balls to address that issue. All they did was pass a law that would allow the parents to file suit in federal court, period. This law applies to no one else but Terri's parents ...not me, not you, not anyone! You are missing the big picture here. This law does nothing to save Terri's life. And I'm willing to bet that eventually the tube will be removed and Terri will die. This was nothing but politics for Congress and Bush. If they really wanted Terri to live, they would have passed a law illegalizing the removal of the feeding tube. That didn't happen! All they did was weaken the rights of a spouse. This guy may be scum, I have no idea. But in this country, the spouse has legal authority. If you strip that right away in this case, it will be stripped away in other cases. If you are married, you better be more concerned about your rights as a spouse.

I agree the law needs to be changed. We should euthanize instead of starvation. But don't hold your breath on Congress ever addressing the issue anytime soon. And it still won't answer who should make that decision. Nope, didn't watch the video. Terri has doctors. Her doctors have spoken, and that is enough for me. A doctor is not going to go out on a limb and remove the feeding tube unless there is no medical chance of recovery. You think the doctors are conspiring with the courts and the husband to kill Terri? You are married, right? Do you have a living well? As a result of our government's action, I am updating my living will this week to specifically include feeding tube. I'd rather starve than live in Terri's condition. Of course, I'd prefer euthanasia over starvation.

Its obvious that Michael has his own interest at heart, different from Terri's and her parents. Its obvious that Michael moved on years ago, there are rumors about a $1 million dollar lawsuit on the radio and tv in this case. DID you watch the video, either? Silly, what isn't about politics now days? Both sides pander to their cause and then their is the border problem. No one wants to stop illegals coming in from the south.
