We are so caught up in BCS and SECCG talk, I thought a side conversation about nothing (Seinfeld reference) would do us good and wake us up this morning.

List your favorite uniforms, first amongst the SEC, then NCAA.

SEC is LSU (I am a homer), but I liked Miss St retro look in the Egg Bowl.

NCAA would have to be Michigan or Texas...i am a fan of the traditional look.

Syracuse and Oregon State in the NCAA.

Oh, wait, I'm still caught up in the BCS....

LSU is a no-brainer for the SEC. Outside of LSU, I like the unadorned red & white look. Favorites are Oklahoma, Alabama, and Arkansas.

I love the Tigers' uni's. They still have the same color scheme that I remember as far back as the late 50's. I was born in '54 and really about the only thing that has changed was when Coach McClendon tool the numbers off the sides of the helmets (like bama) and went to a Tiger face with small letters LSU underneath. If I recall, that helmet lasted for a couple of years then the current helmet logo was born in about 77(?). I think a "throwback" game in the next couple of years would be cool. The uni's that Jim Taylor had in the mid fifties would be cool. To much money to outfit the guys in a completely different uniform though. I think it would be cool. OU did in its first game this year. Brought back the 50's type unis against North Texas. Just a thought though.

    LSU in the SEC.
    Michigan in the NCAA

ESPN.com Page 2 ran a national poll of "Best Uniform in Sports".
The link is below. All sports.....all types of uniforms. Michigan's football uniforms won the whole thing. LSU's football uni's didn't get out of the first round. What is up with that???

You can't tell me that right now, outside of LSU, these aren't the best looking uniforms to you:

Hideous......Orange should never be allowed on a football uniform.

    Uniforms dos and don'ts.

For me, I love having complementary colors. That's why I love the LSU purple and gold jerseys so much.

Biggest don't for me is monochromatic uniforms. ESPECIALLY all orange. I know we have to be an orange fan this weekend, but as a whole, orange jerseys are hideous. I don't like the all red teams or the all orange teams.

    My favorites:
    SEC:
    1. LSU
    2. Auburn (if you are going to use blue and orange, make blue the dominate color, please)
    3. Florida

    Nationally:
    1. Oregon (As long as they don't where yellow soccer jerseys. The black look is pretty tight)
    2. USC (I don't like the team, but their colors and uniforms are pretty cool)
    3. North Carolina (I don't know why, but I like the dark blue, baby blue combination)

LSU, obviously. Florida is the only other one in the SEC that I like. Outside of the SEC; Michigan, USC, Kansas State, Colorado, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Texas are all pretty good too. As far as the "new" style uniforms, I like Miami's. LA Tech has a nice logo.
