We all saw how much rain can level the playing field last year against Oregon State. If we have a downpour before or during the game Saturday, which team gets the advantage? Does the impact on the passing game take some of the pressure off our secondary and force a ground game battle? If so - who wins that battle and why?

Probably about the same. We both are better at running the ball than throwing the ball, both have inconsistent, but talented QB's.

If it does rain a lot, we will miss Alley more than at any other point this season.

when it rains the biggest issue is the size of your quarterbacks hands... Randall sucked in the rain because he has small hands and his passes sailed on him in wet conditions. Does Ainge have large hands? I know Russell does. This may sound trivial, but it is true, and can mean the difference between no picks and several. LSU will have the advantage in the ground game because of injuries to Tennessee's o-line.

As long as Vincent and Carey don't dance around and just run straightaway we should be fine. If it is as sloppy as the Oregon St. game Adai is going to need some help with all the carries he may get.

I have to say though that I was impressed with a few of Carey's runs straight ahead. He actually drug a few tacklers with him. I think the average weight of the TN defensive starters is around 280 so that may not happen this game.

Its not weight that helps carey, its leverage.. he hits people below their power base...

As Jerry Clower used to say, "Those Tigers are bad, wet or dry."

    No advantage to either team.
