Just heard Hawthorne announce the attendance at today's baseball game, 687. I was shocked, initially. Of course the series was decided yesterday and it is, afterall, Easter Sunday. Is there a lower attendance total for an SEC game at the Box in the past few years?
A Holiday weekend and unseasonably cold weather will do that to attendence. Spring break . . . the students are gone, too.
Man, that game had everything going against it, didn't it. Add to that list that the game was on TV. If you knew that the Tigers would've won, esp. with that final score would you have changed your plans and gone to the game? Bob
Me, too. I also remember Bertman's first year when I couldn't get anyone I knew to go to the games with me. Funny how things cycle.
I went to the Kentucky game the day of the Spring Game, and they had us way back in the right field corner. I, for one, think the student section needs to be more ideally located. I don't think I'll go to games if I have to sit way back there.
