I want to start this by saying I have no problem with LSU going to the Rose Bowl. You guys had a great season and the way it all shakes out with where/how people lost, it puts you in position to go to a BCS game. I am writing this to remind some of you that this now works both ways, and it is working in your favor this time, unlike last year. I remember there was a whole lot of griping here last year when people were saying Auburn was the best team in the SEC at the end of the year and went to the Capital One Bowl ahead of LSU, and Alabama went to the Cotton over LSU after finishing 3rd. I've seen numerous times where you so the co-championships in the West don't matter, so I'm going to assume that Co-2nd place doesnt either. So we are tied with you for 2nd in the West, and we won the head to head. We have the exact same overall record as you. We are going to the Cotton and you are going to the Rose Bowl. So the third place team in its own division is going to a BCS Bowl. Keep in mind, I am not saying that you guys don't deserve it. I think you do. You are playing the best ball in the SEC at this point in time and deserve the trip. I'm just reminding everyone to not get up in arms next year if yall win the West, and somebody else says that they are playing the best towards the end of the year and deserve a better bowl. Enjoy your trip to Pasadena.
I hate to agree with an Auburn fan, but I can't find any merits on which to argue you with. I can only say that sometimes it is better to end with a winning streak than it is to have some ugly home losses.
That's true. Last year the Peach Bowl was the best match up outside of the BCS and this year the Rose Bowl will be the best match up outside of the BCS championship game. Just glad to be where we are. Edit: Wanted to emphasize that by best match up I meant before the game was played.

And Again...It's not who you beat, as much as when you beat them...Later in the season, Highly Ranked Teams that are proven....Meaning that Teams that were ranked high early in the season, that havent played to there potential. Hence Arkansas vs USC, or LSU Arburn, etc...
I would just like to remind you that if we had fair and objective refs in our game our records would not be the same and we would be playing this week. As long as we are looking at all things. Face it Aubie got favorable intangables this year and blew it. Last year we were screwed and no one seemed to care so from now on we will promote ourselves and take care of LSU. Go post that crap on your Auburn board cause we dont want to hear your crying over here.
Aubie is a classy poster and I would expect no less than an even keel analysis. Aubie, I understand your position and we have to live with the system- and it's far from perfect for sure- but someone posted yesterday how it was "Just" that we benefited (On merir) from the system this year, especially in light of what happened last year. I believe you to be astute to recognize that sometime the # of losses is not as significant as but the timing of them. I think it was the prick Lou Houltz who said, "People remember what you do in November". There is a lot of truth to that. Besides......come on......admit it........ LSU > than AU. We do have the best team (Both sides of the ball) in the SEC. :thumb: Will be pulling for you guys in your Bowl game, represent:
I agree somewhat and if we had beaten Auburn then gone to the SECCG and lost we would be looking at the Cotton or Cap One...Sometime it pays to lose an extra game. Not fair but that is the way the football bounces.
